Amateur Radio Station G6AFY

Well, after about 25 years of not being a member, I am once again a member of the RSGB. I was a member as a listener (RS42791) and for many years after I was licenced (1981), but it lapsed somewhere along the line.

I do feel now that it will help my newly re-found passion for radio. Not that it ever left, I just didn’t or couldn’t do anything about it! So here’s to many years of contacts and experimentation – and the sound of RadCom landing on the mat each month.

I have now completed construction of the MKARS80 Tx/Rx kit I bought last year! It works very well on receive, I have been listening a great deal when in the shack. But I have yet to make a successful transmission. I need to put up a decent antenna, probably an end fed longwire.
